First Day Guide:
I'm Back!
Let’s pick up where you left off and keep building.
Time to power up your avatar and tackle today’s mini-challenge!
Log in to Bloxels!
Sign in to Start
- Press the button to open Bloxels in a new tab.
- Press Log In (top left corner).
- If you’re in the Arcade, click the User icon next to the word Arcade at the top of the screen. Then press Log In on the menu that pops up.
- Enter your Class Code (your leader will share it).
- Find your username with your initials → press Next.
Tip: Some names have extra letters to tell students apart. Ask your leader if you’re not sure which is yours. Don’t guess! - If you can’t remember your password, ask your club leader. If your account has been locked, they can help get it reset.
Make it yours!
update your Bloxels avatar
Already have one you love? Skip ahead to the design challenge below.
- Avatars are characters, not art.
- You’ll make your avatar in the Character Builder.
- It can move (animated) or stay still — up to you.
- Only the first frame matters.
- Your avatar picture comes from the first frame of the Idle state.
- Make sure that first frame looks exactly how you want it.
- Set it as your profile picture.
- Go to My Profile (home screen button, or tap your avatar square anywhere).
- Press the Pencil icon next to your avatar picture.
- Choose your new character → click to set it.
Now your avatar will show up everywhere — in the Arcade and on your games.

Challenge time!
One level. One hour. One awesome game.
Goal: Build a complete, playable game today.
Keep it small: under one minute to play through.
☑ Must include:
- A clear start & finish
- At least 1 enemy
- At least 1 collectible or power-up
Choose your style:
- Platformer: a short run from start to finish
- Top-Down: a single arena or space to explore
Bonus (if you finish early):
- Add a backstory/theme (why is the hero here?).
- Create a boss fight ending.
- Hide a secret area.
- Make it harder, funnier, or trickier for friends.
Think about it!
Reflect on what you made
Ask yourself:
- Does my game have a beginning, middle, and end?
- Did I use all 8 block types to make it fun?
- Did I make something I’m proud to show off?
Next time: keep building! Add more levels, story, or surprises. You’re just getting started!
